It’s from an old doujinshi that we had scanned some pages of on our website - I knew it looked familliar! QueenVegeta69 did a great job colorizing it.

Saitou Hajime of the Shinsengumi, heavily based off of the designs from the anime/manga Rurouni Kenshin.
Taken at Shutocon, in which the weather was a dreary 25 degrees (F) including winds up to 17mph. I remained outside for all of ten minutes, therefore definitely did not take all the photos that I wanted. Maybe I will take him to a summer con and get some more pics there…

The extra image on the bottom is cropped from an image I didn’t use in this photoset because you can see where Kirk Thornton signed my haori, when he came to Acen in 2007. Awesome, sweet guy. He had asked me which Saitou quote was my favorite, and I told him it was from the blooper reel, in which Saitou says “It’s all about the bling-bling.” and Kirk laughed and said, “I’m going to write that, okay?”
